Default Front End Shakes

So my buddy layed down my bike about a week ago is an 01 F4i he didnt really lay it down to hard I drove it home that night about 2 miles and it felt fine. It been sitting for about a week now while I get it fixed today I went to take it for a spin around the block when I hit the break the front end shakes violently and tire feel like it starts sliding on the surface this also seemed to only start happening after I went over a speed bump. Could it be the break discs are warped? why wouldnt I felt anything when I drove it home that night? any ideas what it could be would be great

I would start with the rotors and or rim, that is the most likely. my guess is that you just did not notice it becuase of all the excitement of the wreck. I guess it could also be the steering head bearings. Hold the front brake, and try to push the bike forward and back, you should not feel any slop in the steering head

Wot did you have fixed?, Head bearings & a warped disc(s) will give the shakes when the brakes are applied, but you certainly would have noticed something like that on the way home.
Head bearings give a 'click, click' sensation through the bars, while a warped disk will make the bars shake (almost out of your hand) when you hit the front anchors. Maybe the guys that fixed it have loosened something or have somehow warped the disk

could also be that you lost your wheel weights and set the wheel off balance or he could have slightly bent the fork during his wreck.

Well he layed it down going like 20-30 he apparently hit loose gravel and lost it. The bike went down on the left side the left fairing was pretty scratched up and so was the left part of the upper fairing other then that I couldn't see much more damage like I said I drove it home that night and it felt fine and I have taken it around the block two different days since then and it didn't do the shaking untill after I went over a pretty high speed bump. Nothing has been fixed yet I ordered new plastics and was planing on tAking it in to get checked out definetly am now

you say that high speed bumps make it start, that sounds like some kind of fork issue. but they would have had to take a pretty good beating to
mess them up like that.

Are you saying the front tire tries to lock up and slide? or that its twisting so hard left to right that its starting to slide?

man I dont know, I would have to see it in person to figure out whats not right.
