Frame sliders - 01 CBR 600f4i
Ok I'm in the market for some frame sliders and from what I have heard I want ones that I have to cut my fairing because they are the only ones that work. Is that true? Which should I get?

I swear by the woodcraft ones. And I'm sure anyone else who has had to use them would do the same.
I can say that you should stay away from any that are all plastic, I would say they are more ment for show than protection.

ok so here are the two major diff between them.
the cut sliders use the bolt that hold the block in place and they are 10mm wide gr 8 bolts. nice and strong and they actually pass the energy of the impact the frame of the bike.
the no cut ones use a 6mm bolt that holds the fairing in place, the energy is passed on to the faring then to the side pillar not the main frame of the bike.
the good and bads on both,
cut sliders need a 2inch hole in the faring but on the good side they protect against drops and crashes
the no cut dont require anything to be cut but the dont do a good job against crashes, drops and low speed crashes are "ok"
if your planning on racing or doing a lot of high speed drivers then cut the frame, if your going to go around town then no cut.
up to you

I just put the T-Rex no cut on the other day and they mount to the engine mount bolt.........i hope i don't find out any time soon how well they work.
Not entirely correct... The brackets mount to that location, not the frame sliders themselves.
