Default Fork Seal question

For my 1992 CBR 600 F2

I pulled the forks apart as I'm powder-coating the outer tubes. Question is, do I need to replace the fork seals?

I know it wouldn't hurt, but I'm just wondering if I really need to. I saw no evidence that the seals were bad, and would prefer to just put the old ones back in. I think I was pretty gentle getting them apart, well as gentle as can be, but am wondering if they are otherwise ruined now that they've come apart?

Thanks!

your seals arent guaranteed to be messed up, but why take the chance. if you have the forks apart, spend the 15 bucks and stick new ones in. that way you wont getthem back together and have it leak that fork oil all over your new powder and possibly get in your brakes, and then you have to go down that road....

$15 bucks for seals? Where are you shopping?

I'm seeing $25-$30 each everywhere I look.

I'll probably do it anyway, but I was just wondering...
