Default fork performance - gsxr vs 1000rr

Between the GSXR and the 1000rr forks, which is better? I'm interested from a purely performance/adjustability/upgradability/etc. standpoint?

Everything I read/hear points to GSXR forks as being superior but why? Are they really? If so, what makes them so much better?

Thanks,
Chris

side question: Seems like the GSXR lower triple is aluminum. If so, why not the CBR?

I don't even know anyone that's owned both bikes to offer an opinion.

The reason your not getting replys is because it's subjective to an individuals opinion. Also, you aren't comparing specific models. There have been many different models over the years and each one has it's own pros and cons. And that's not even taking into consideration the rest of the chassis. it takes the entire chassis to get the bike to handle, and that's where Honda has shined for a long time.

As for which one is better. Who knows. I can tell you that Honda makes some of the best balanced and easiest to ride fast bikes out there when comparing within their own category.

So I don't think you can just make a blank statement saying one is better than the other. Perhaps one model of a certain was better than another model of the same year.

Yeah I guess all of that is true. I had always just "heard" that the gsrx forks were higher performance/easier to work on/more adjustability/more options/etc. so I was trying to get some input as to why that might be the case.
