I got one for you’ll. Just so you know I’m going to have a pro do the paint for me but I’m going to add my buddy’s tank in the with the set. So I got 2 mids, 2 lower (929), 1 nose, 1 tail, and 2 tanks all for $600 flat black. The problem is that my buddy’s tank has a golf ball size dent in it. Can it be fixed with bondo or if not how do you fix it? It’s off of a '04 R1 if that has any thing to do with it.

 

I fixed my tank on my F3 about 4 months ago. I used body filler. Ill post soem pics wheni get home from school

 

Why not pop it out instead of using bondo. I dont understand. They sell paintless dent removal tools on the internet for things like that. At my warehouse, we have a dent wizard to do that to all of our car doors, hoods, trunks, and an amployee of mine even brought in a tank from a bike. It is a hell of a lot cheaper. Look in your phonebook for dent repair. It'll cost from like 10-30 to fix it. How much will be spent to bondo and repaint it??????????????? They have tools with 90 degree bends on them. You just put it in the tank and move it where you need it to be and pop up the dent. You dont even have to remove the tank. It'll take like 90 seconds. I've done it before.

Do those paintless dent removers work if the dent is on a corner or a bend?

 

You will probably have to have some one come out and give you a quote.

 

could you do it with air pressure? empty the tank and hook up an air hose threw the hole in the tank?

 

yes it can be fixed. done do paintless dent removal. too much $$$. drain it, rinse it, dry it then studd pull it. any local body shop knows what that is and it is real cheap. you could have them fix all of it, or just have them stud pull it. once it is pulled out then you will still have to use bondo, but the very least just to smooth it out. IMO thats the best deal for your $$$.
