Question First CBR..need help PLEASE

Alright i have been riding bikes my whole life but this is the first sportbike i have ever owned..it is an 88 cbr 600 that im gonna build a mild streetfighter out of..it runs great and shifts great. only problem i have this far is when im going about 55-60 mph it seems to me like the rpms are too high. i expect it to be loud cause i have a yoshi slip on exhaust but it acts as if i should have another gear or something. its a 6 speed n they all engage no problem. im not sure if the sprockets have been changed n im pretty much stuck. any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance

Go to: Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator. There you can see what your rpms at certain speeds should be.

Stock sprocket sizes are 15t front and 44t rear. My '87 600 runs around 6500-7k at approx 65-75 mph with a -1 front sprocket.
