I have an 07 CBR600 RR in which I replaced the engine. I puta used engine on my bike from another 07 CBR600 RR. The engine ran fine on the other bike from which it came. I have everything connected and the engine installed except now the fuel injection light comes on. Actually I will start the bike and it will rough idle for about 5 seconds..then I will hear the FI kick in and the FI light will come on the dash. The bike will then idle normally. I can ride for a little bit but after a bit (no certain timeframe) the bike will just die on me. It will not restart until I turn the switch off and then on again. It will start up fine again and do the same thing.....NEED SOME HELP !!! Anyone experienced anything like this before? I changed the stator, but to no avail. Any help? Please help...

 

Do the FI test to see what error code your getting. Make sure all sensors are connected and there are no vac leaks or intake leaks.

 

How do I do the FI test? That would be awesome if I could get a code. Is there an easy way to check for leaks?

 

Im sure there is a downloadable manual somewhere that will have the FI diag procedure in it. It's probably similar to the f4i where you jump 2 wires on the ecm together and turn on the key.
