I am racing my 051000RR and am trying to decide if I want the Ohlins, or Penske dampner. Any of you have any experience with either?

FYI - Its a damper, or shock. A dampner would be used if you wanted to change the moisture content of your suspension, which doesn't make any sense.

I've had both Ohlins and Penske. I currently have a penske, I'm not as thrilled with it and have had to take more time to get my suspension dialed it. But it was about half the price of the Ohlins.

Ohlins is nicer and more refined but you pay for it. I've got an Ohlins on my F4i and a Penske on my SV650, both are fine, the Ohlins is a little easier to play with and obviously looks 1000x better but they both do essentially the same thing

If your going to be working with a good suspension guy, you should be able to get either set up to your liking
