Default Fairing ideas

Please please please give feedback because I am super torn on this.

Alright, I know you all say get what you like but I need some feedback. I whipped these up in photoshop to send off when I order my fairings. Now Im torn as to which design has the best flow ascetically, with the lines. This will be for the F4 with the F4 head light no the F4i.

Yellow is going to be sunrise yellow (OEM yellow for the F4)
Black is going to be a deep gloss black
white pinestripes for the transition from yellow to black to make it pop
the gas tank and front fender are both Carbon Fiber along with the Rear hugger that is not pictured.

I would say picture 3. But the top line of the fairing needs to match the angle of the rear tail section. The way the picture is, the fairings line does not match the tail section. This is the main dividing line between the top and mid color and they should line up, which is why I don't like the other pictures that have that line in less of an angle. I also like picture 3 because you created the bottom line on the fairing to line up with the bottom of the rear tail section. everything seems to flow.

Also, just keep in mind you are using 2D images that will be hard to say exactly what the end result will be. The fairings being rounded will affect how the end result will look.

But, I do like the color scheme. Maybe not a compliment, but looks a lot like Yamaha anniversary colors. But they look good. But they are all so similar, its hard to pic a winner.

None of them. All too blocky. All yellow tail and mostly yellow tank needed. The yellow flows to black and black flows to yellow, keep black lines to black lines and yellow to yellow.

Since 3 & 4 are basically the same... Consider making the modification of reversing the colors. That way, the top of the bike is black, then accented by yellow stripes/segments. See what I'm saying? Your CF tank color will flow better w/ the complete upper portion of the bike being black.

Alas, it really only matters what you like. ;-)

ETA: Then again, you look up at the forum header & see a CBR w/a black tank w/ yellow front & upper portion of rear cowl. ;-)

My main reservation about painting the tank is that it was originally yellow and I wrapped it in cf. What do you think about painting a yellow stripe down the center of the tank like knifemaker did. Not to totally bite off his design.

Well after putsing around with the upper fairing I decided to keep it simple and plain so here is my current iteration. I was kinda tossing up the idea of changing the CBR on the upper fairing to HRC. Maybe do the same for the tip of the tail where the honda normally goes. Oh and where it says honda on the tank under the wing it is going to read Abigail or Abby instead of honda since that's her name as well as from the mirror down I am going to have "C. Jardine" on there with the flag in remembrance for my great uncle who was killed on a motorcycle while racing, and who I was named after actually.

As far as the tank goes Ive thought about it a lot and I do agree that just the solid CF is not incorporated very well, however, I have not found any good way to to tie it in. I plan on applying not stomp grips but their competitor (forget the name but) they have a contract with Cali superbike school. I really loved how they felt and the security they gave me (they are, however black). I brought in the CF front huger to balance the tank. I haven not decided if a CF rear huger or just a plain black one will suit the bike more. Im not to big on a yellow huger just because it draws attention to it and I want it to just fade into the rest of the bikes ascetics. Black because it will match the tire and the overall color of the rear end, CF to equal out the tank and the front fender.

Thoughts? And thanks for all the input so far, its really helped me refine what I am looking for. please don't stop.

I don't see dramtic difference in any of them to be honest. Its mostly so subtle only you'll realize it when its done. Which is fine though , it looks just fine.

My only critique is if your keeping the tank 'black' , you should have black as the 'top' color in the design otherwise its always going to look like you just slapped a black tank on a yellow bike.

If it was me I would flop the pattern so black starts on top which would also let you leave the tank plain and it would look good like that too.
