Default F4i help please!! Desperate!!!!

Ok so i know this has been covered somewere but seems like there is a lot of diff answers.... i own an 02 f4i... went down... got all new s*$t and put it back together.... now as some of you may know there is a security feature on this bike that comes in the form of a pink wire coming from the ignition and running to the ecu... this wire feeds the ecu 9v and tells the fuel pump to prime... now the ignition feeds this wire 12 v and then the voltage is dropped with a (zener diode or resistor or both? This is were im confused) to 9v telling the ecu that the ignition has not been tampered with and it is ok for the fuel pump to prime....i had to replace mine w an ebay one wich does not have this feature... so someone PLEASE have a real answer as to what exactly i need and were it needs to be wired to get this pink wire down to 9v. I know someone out there knows exactly what im talking about

So I do know what your talking about, and I know the struggles of getting a new ignition switch. Just got one in yesterday and it doesn’t work.
Did you get one of the eBay switches that comes with the gas cover and the seat lock?

Disclaimer: I hate typing and my spelling and grammar is horrible.

what ive found with the new eBay switch.
There is no Zener diode and the insides of the switch are wired differently. I might have a solution but it’s going to need repinning and some soddering. Not 100% if it’s going to work.
