Default f2 rubber carb manifolds

I removed and disassembled the carbs on my '94 f2. The rubber manifolds seem to be hardened from heat/age, should I change these? I wasn't sure if it I should automatically replace them. They aren't cracked or anything. All of the clamp bolts also seemed real loose to me. I know they need to be snug to seal the intakes but how tight should they be? The repair manual doesn't really say.
I was going to really crank them tight when I put it together, even thought using a little lock tight on the threads. I have the stock jets in it now, should I replace them? I mean, do they wear out or anything? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I never ended up removing the carbs on my old Ninja, but while researching it, I found a lot of people would boil the boots in water to soften them up before reinstalling. If you can get a new set for $30 thpough, I'd do that. I think new Kawi ones were going for over $30 each!
