Default Exhaust, Jet Kit, Air Filter Question

Couple Questions here... 97 CBR600F3 here

Factory Jet Kit Config 30 says it's for an aftermarket exhaust and stock or mod'ed airbox for higher airflow. Would a K&N filter work in this case?

Would there be any significant gains by adding a full exhaust, Factory Jet Kit, and K&N filter to my 97 F3?

If so, what exhaust performs the best while staying street legal (noise)

Default RE: Exhaust, Jet Kit, Air Filter Question

With just a K&N and a vance & hines slip on I noticed a decent increase in acceleration and power. My next step will be to swap out the stock jets with a dyno jet kit to take care of the lean-ness and improve throttle response. I wouldn't reccommend keeping stock jets with a full exhaust and a filter. Our bikes run lean from the factory in order to pass emmisions in some areas. By adding more air flow we lean them out even more. I am already trying to decide if I want to risk waiting till winter to tear mine apart to rejet it. Hope you don't burn a valve.
