Engine dies at higher speeds??
So, after getting a new battery in my03600RRa few weeks ago it has been running fine. On a road trip this past weekend I was riding on I started having some problems. I rode about 100 miles without much of a problem, then the next morning I put in some 91 octane gas and went on my way. I made it about 50 miles then my bike died while I was riding at about 80 miles per hour. It seemed tohesitate once or twice then just straight up died. I pulled over and started it up without a problem. Over the next few miles it hesitated once then died, and kept repeatingon me two more times riding at higher rpms so we pulled off and took backroads home. It seemed to run fine at around 50 mph. The next morning on my way home I rode about a half an hour at higher speeds then had the same problem. Thinking it was possibly some bad gas I burned it all out and filled up the tank with freshstuff but am still having the same problem. I am getting very discouraged and was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what could be causing it? Tonight I am going to take off the power commander and see if that makes a difference but was just wondering if anyone had some advice. I am hoping it is as simple as a fuel filter or plugged tank vent but I fear for the worse...something with the injectors or electronics???
I have a 92 CBR600 F2 that has been doing the same thing. I checked the gas and got fresh stuff in it and it's still doing it. I'm going to check the fuel lines and filter to clean them out and check for clogs, but let me know if you make any progress.
i bet its your battery connection https://cbrforum.com/m_356749/tm.htm
post an update when you find your answer. I thought it was my gas too but I was wrong.

Check the battery connection for sure. Cleaning off your cable ends real well and the battery terminals, then getting everything locked down nice will keep the vibrations from causing possible missfires from lack of electrical connection.
However... that being said, to me, it sounds more like a fuel filter being clogged, but mainly, a fuel pump problem. You said yourself that you rode it about 100 miles without any problem... could be time to vibrate something somewhat loose on the battery cable ends or something... but could be a fuel issue. At higher RPMs, you're needing larger volumes of fuel to be delivered to your engine... this means "at speed" or riding out a gear. The 2 things that usually limit fuel delivery would be the fuel filter and fuel pump.
Hope that helps... and I do admit, here, that I'm not a motorcycle mechanic. I was an ASE certified automotive mechanic for over 6 years, so I'm taking car knowledge and applying it's basics here. Heck, I'm not even sure if your bike is FI or Carb... but all the same, I hope that this helps some.
