I have a 1993 cbr 600 f2. I'm changing it to a street fighter/bobber. my question is how important is the computer for this bike. what does iy actually do and can it run without it. would it mess up the charging system? What would it mess with and would it run at all? If it did run would it destroy the stator and regulator? Backfeeding into the system? What can anyone tell me.

 

the CDI is how you get your ignition. you can't run it without it. besides, the f2 CDI is tiny
