eBay HID question
eBay is littered with sub-$50 HID kits. Are these real? I thought HID's cost significantly more than that. Am I missing something?
For example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H1-H3...spagenameZWDVW
Has anyone tried these or does anyone know about these? They seem legit from the ad but I am sure that something hasto be wrong here. They can't really be thatinexpensive, can they?

It looks legit. They are real HID's, but not as good as what comes stock on high end cars. The kits are cheap now and they work fine for the most part. That did not seem to be a Bi-Xeon kit-meaning it only has low beam. The problem is with the cheap kits that you can get the kit for under $100.00, but when the bulbs burn out they are about $100.00 each at most places. If you have the extra cash and time I would say get it and see how it goes. We all can use more light on our bikes.
For the best light output don't go hight then 8000K. The 10000K and up have cooler looking colors, but the light output is not as good. 4300K is the best output, but looks like a bight stock headlight. I say get the 8000K and you will be happy-it's a real nice blue color.

Wow, I had put HID's on the back burner because I was under the impression that they cost 300-400 for some reason. For 105 for the superslim ones, this might get moved right to the top of the list.
:dreaming: ...now if only they came packaged with GP-shift rearsets.

Installed them on 3 bikes and 1 car..Not one issue with the slim mount units in almost 8 months.
^^ Yep, I've purchased 5 kits including the micro-ballast kit I just got for my 07 600RR (though, I'm not too impressed with the micro-ballast kit yet. Either that, or I think I may have pinched a wire.)
which one should i get? the auto one or the bike one? the bike only comes with 1 bulb, is that the only difference between them? is H7 the right size (is that even a size or is it something else)
I am confused, sorry for the 20 questions.
