Default Downshifting Problem

Recently I have noticed my F3 has not been downshifting all the way and getting stuck. I will be in 6th coming up on a stop and I will pull the clutch in and be able to get down to 3rd and then it will not allow me to shift down any further like something isnt lined up right. After I released the clutch I can hear/feel things line up again and it will let me downshift the rest of the way to 1st. Just to let everyone know, it isn't just 3rd it will get stuck in, sometimes it is 2nd or 4th and I have to do the same thing. I have a bad feeling I might need to do a tranny rebuild on this bike, it has a lil over 28k on it. Anyone have any more insight to this or where to get a transmission rebuild kit containing new washers, bearings, spacers? I really hope my gears arent shot, then I really wont know what to do.

i have had the same problem on my 05 1000rr and the tech said that there was really nothing wrong with it. when you try to shift down, do you have to slightly let the clutch handle out a little bit and then it "clicks" into gear?

Thats just really goofy because for the short time I owned my 93 F2 I never had that problem. It serisously feels like something is out of alignment and when the clutch is released it pulls it back into place and allows it to be downshifted the rest of the way. At least I know I'm not the only one experiencing this though.

nothing is wrong with your tranny all that is happening is your tranny needs to turn a little for the dogs on the gears to mesh up to be able to gear down my does it once in awhile also. i ride 98 f3. it happens to me if i come to a stop and i am not in my first gear. then i just slip the clutch and then it lets me in. if your tranny gets progressively worse though and starts popping out of gear you may have a problem otherwise i would not worry about it.

I typically apply the clutch per shift, My opinion is the only time when you need to change multiple gears is in a very quick or emergency stop
