Purely hypothetical--I was curious what happens if you peel off the VIN sticker. Does it say "VOID" or anything like that (i.e., part of the sticker won't come off and leaves the word "void"). I ask purely for educational purposes: Could one hypothetically peel a VIN from one bike and put it on another?

No way. There are 2 VINs on bike. One is plate that's riveted on and other is stamped on frame. They both must match. And engine# must also match VIN on registration. DMV has records of all this.
