Dude, I was more or less asking if it was B.S. or not.
[*]Improved exhaust scavenging - This is debatable, if it actaully does it's minimial.[*]Weight savings, of about 3 lbs - 3lbs sounds about right if you remove the entire PAIR system (Tubes, Selonoid, etc..) and not just the tubes.[*]A cleaner, less cluttered, engine area - Yes, but it's still cluttered.[*]Reduced contamination of the engine - False, The system simply injects exhaust gases (mostly unburnt fuel)during decceleration back into the airbox, not really any contamination there...
the PAIR Valve acts like a the AIR pump does on a car. it assists in the post combustion burning of unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust by pulsing fresh air FROM the air box directly into the exhaust manifold. it's an emissions device and needs to be there if your bike requires certifications.
I have the CA model bike to and I would honestly like to do this. But...I have read reports from people who have removed the emissions from the bike that its screws up the preformance. I'd be weary on doing this.
Here's some info on remove the smog equipment on a CA model CBR600RR, But it will be similar to other Honda's.
