Can you use it without spools? I thought spools were a must. what about the front? I appreciate the input guys, but as you can tell, I'm running blind. thanks again
In regards to the rear stand makers should sell a stand that works with out spools, instead of V notched sides the stand will have rubber covered points that simply lift the bike up under the swing arm. For the front you can get two types of stands, one that lifts the bike up under the neck of the frame allowing you to remove the front wheel and another type that that lifts the front at the front axle. If you are not near a shop where you can the different types just call the place you are going to order from and tell them what you have and what you want.

I meant I paid $125 for my vortex.... the set that checkered flag sells is for $100 and I don't know about shipping. But it can't be much.

i knew what you meant. i clicked on the link and the set on there is $100 and shipping is $25 anywhere in the continental united states. that the $125 great deal that i was talking about. and i too paid about that much for my rear stand alone. another $100 or so for the front.

I don't think this will be one of those deals, where you get what you pay for. Think about it.. all a stand is.. is a pipe bent and welded in a few spots, then the wheels. Are they really worth $300 for a set? No... I think with checkered flag... you are getting what you pay for, you're just not putting their kids through college. I know I have suggested the stands to a few members and they said they were ordering them. No one has come back and complained... When the time comes... I will order them. Right now... I have too many other things on my list and I don't really need the front stand.

I called checkered flag today to find out about 929's, He said they don't have anything just for the 929 yet because they have just been trying to keep up with the orders they have on the universal stands. He said to expect something in about 3-4 months.

Ok, I found something else that I think will work. It's adustable, so i think this will compensate for the swingarm offset.stands
scroll down and look at the adustments just incase I'm wrong. Thanks again

Couldn't stand it. So i'm a little impatient, so what. I went ahead and bought the stands on ebay. They look like they will work for a 929, being adjustable and all. My stands
Now I just have to smooth things over at home after she kills me. LOL
