did i do it right ???
Just installe a Jarding RT-1slip on, on a 07 1000rr. Had to take the metallic seal off the end of the header to make the Jardine pipe fit on the header. Is this going to cause a exhaust leak if so what do i do. Next after getting her all back together i noticed it was idoling slower around 1100 rpms and going womp womp womp womp. is this normal or does the idol need to be set higher now? forgive the quidness here is some pics

Looks good, I don't know what he's talking about the damn thing is fuel injected. The best thing is get a power commander for it and map it but it should run fine. As for the exhaust leak just put you hand near (don't touch) the area where you took the seal off and if you feel air while the bike is running you'll need to put that seal back on. You can always call Jardine they'll help you out too.

you shouldnt need the PC but if you really wanted to fine tune you rbike it would be a nice addition. but since the bike is fuel injected , the ecu takes care of fuel/air ratios now i believe if you went with a full system you would need to make some adjustments with a pc. btw it must be nice to have a brand new bike AND have the money to put on a brand new slip on lol im jealous

If Jardine said that your bike needs to be re-jetted, they obviously didn't catch what make/year your bike was. An '07 CBR 1K is all fuel injected. There is no jetting a computerized/fuel injected system. The air/fuel mixture is all controlled by the ECM. The only thing that would have changed on your bike going from a stock pipe to an aftermarket (slip on) is that there is less back pressure. That may cause a change in your idle.
To find out if the seal you removed is causing an exhaust leak, just take a piece of paper towel (small three inch strip) an hold it next to the area where you think may be leaking exhaust. You will be able to see the paper "Dancing" around on the expelled exhaust (don't rest it on anything hot...it may go "poof").
