I was taught if you have room and its safe when you come up to a red light you make a couple of slow swerves to increase your area. Most of my roads have sensors for bicycles so I have no problem with it but its a thought.

Put down your kickstand, get off the bike and press the walk button on the light. Its just as fast and still legal.

You could always get off and jump up and down like a derranged howling monkey......that always looks good from the car's point of view.

The best is when a car doesn't pull up behind you close enough, so you turn around and wave your arm for them to come closer. Then the person backs up even further. LOL. That's happened a couple of times.
