Default Custom Headers

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has ever made their own headers and seen a power increase. I have tried to do some calculations in order to make my own, but I guess according to the equations that are provided in A. Graham Bell's Four Stroke Performance Tuning the end collector would have to be a negative length in order to be in tune.

Sooo...has anyone ever successfully made their own headers and seen a positive performance increase from them?

I don't know of anyone, but that doesn't mean that someone out there hasn't done it.

Well, I guess my question then would be where can I find a book that would help me design an exhaust? Maybe my cam timing numbers got messed up, could someone post these so I can make sure? My bike is either a 96 F3 or a 94 F2, I have to run the engine serial number again.
