Default Cornering

Ok folks,

I have have my licence now for about a fortnight and my 600 F2 for about the same time and im finding I can be still a little shy on the corners.
How long was it before you were giving it some grit in the bends?

Don't remember. I'm one of those that started riding at age 5. But on street bikes.... since I was in my teens and I'm 32 now. Where's my Geratol!!! Anyways, take it easy and practice the slow stuff first. After you master the slow tight turns in parking lots, you have a better feel for what you and your bike can do together.

We have a lot of track riders on here... unfortunately not me, so I'm sure some of them can give you more advice on serious cornering.

It all depends on how comfortable you get on the bike.

it wasn't untill i learned to trust my tires that i was really able to drag my heels on the pavement. i would say the first time i was realy comfortable was after about 1 month. also riding with people who are better riders will help you out. you will be able to see that they can take the corner fast so you will know that you can as well. inless of course they have are pros with better bikes.

only advice I can give you is see how smooth you can be...you will just naturally start going lower and lower...don't even think about how much farther your knee has to hit the ground....just look for your line and be SMOOTH

congrats on the license and bike, bro!!

Keep it smooth and don`t worry about what you look like, the rule is simple look where you want to go and the bike will follow.
