Default Chatterbox Bluetooth Volume problems

Hey, I bought the new Chatterbox Bluetooth a couple months ago. I had the older non-Bluetooth device but wanted to go wireless on my cell, Ipod and GPS. They all work fine but when I use the Ipod for music you can barely hear your tunes over 50 mph. The older unit works great for sound but I wanted to do without the cables. Anyone buy this unit and have the same problem?

Thanks but I'm keeping both. The Bluetooth one's been sent back to Chatterbox. I called them after my post yesterday and spoke with their tech, Scott. Scott says there's a new version coming out in a month or so which I'll get. The engineer's are going to tweak something in the Bluetooth Chatterboxes to up the volume. After speaking with Scott he didn't sound to optimistic that the volume increase would be that significant. If that's the case I'll return the Chatterbox and find something that works for me.

I can't say. I have used it only for music and currently my Bluetooth chatterbox has been mailed back to Chatterbox due to its weak volume problem. They are going to ship me the 2nd generation of their new Bluetooth model once their manufacturers have tweaked them to increase their volume potential. Once I get the newest updated model I'll test the cell phone part and post a reply as to it's clarity. I will say this. They bragged about the new models having improved speakers. This is bullcrap. The new speaker's sound quality is poor at best. I ordered replacement speakers which were delivered today and I can't wait to hear the difference. I have an older model chatterbox which does not have a volume problem which I will test them on. I paid $55.00 for the two small speakers and $10.00 shipping from Aerostich (RiderWearHouse) on the web. One way or another I will get excellent sound in my helmet with the Chatterbox system or I'll find another manufacturer.

More info will be forthcoming.
