Changing Grips

Changing Grips
I just bought a new set of grips, and I was trying to figure out if I am supposed to glue them to the handle bars or what? I have taken my current grips off before by removing the bar end and then pulling them off. I did it to clean under the throttle and I was able to slide them back on there and they were fine. Since I just got new grips I didn't know if I was going to have to glue them or not.

RE: Changing Grips
When i did mine, the instructions said to clean the bar ends up, then get the inside of the grips wet with water and push them on. Worked easy and they havent moved since.
That was with the bar end on the bike by the way, easier that way so you have something to push against.

RE: Changing Grips
I would be careful if not using glue. I did a set on my Kawai and even though they were somewhat tightly on they still spun on the clip ons a little. Maybe not enough to worry about if used onlon the street but if you are onusingyour bike on atrack I would say to glue them.
Be careful though as that glue gets on everything and can actually get into places you might not want it. Also the glue can dissolve the bodywork so make sure you cover everything up first and have throaway rags nearby to clean off the excess.
