chain noise?
hello every one! new guy here. i tightened the chain on my bike last night and took if for a ride. i noticed a noise it didn't make before witch seems to get louder the faster i go. it sounds like a rubbing noise. i made sure i had the correct play in the chain and try loosing it some to see if it would go away.but it did not. If any one could help i would appreciate it.

It's difficult to diagnose a sound via the Internet. That being said, when you adjusted the tension, did you adjust both sides evenly, like 1/8th turn for each side of bike ? There is a rubber cushion the rides under the chain and is wrapped around the lead edge of the swingarm. I would check that to make sure its properly in place. How is the lubrication on the chain ?

took it for a ride today to a buddy who seems pretty knowledgeable about bikes who said the chain was too tight. so i loosened it up.still made same noise. got home and read your post. i made sure to do both sides evenly.lubed the chain. took off fairings. still the noise.i have some photos to show the placement of the rubber cushion.
