Default chain maintenance per DID

i recently purchased a DID chain for my F4i. ihave done alot ofsearching on here and it seems everyone likes do do something different with their chain, so ie-mailed DID to see how they, the manufacturer, suggest to clean and lube it. here is their response:

Hello Miles,

Thank you for your email.
In reply to your inquiry, we have been telling DID users to clean their chain with a soft cloth, dampened with kerosene and lube with 80 to 90 weight oil every 200-300 miles.

Should you have further questions, please let us know at anytime.

Have a nice day.

well i looked all around here trying to find how to take care of my chainand everyone seems to do something different. they clean with kerosene, wd-40,green cleaner,or chain cleaner and then lube with WD-40, chain wax, chain lube, or gear oil.i don't want to get into another argument over how to take care of a chain, i just wanted to let everyone know what the manufacturer reccomends

I think the only bad thing that people do is use the wd40. Its not the right type of lubricant, too runny, just wrong.
Also, What I think is the easiest, use a commercial chain lube, and you will be alright.
