If its just a spot there is no prob riding it off. Wouldnt be any worse then scrubbing in new tires.

just be careful with tire cleaners. some of them have tire protectants in them that are basically armorall... that is some very slippery stuff. If your really concerned, there is a product called bleach white. Its a white wall white letter tire cleaner.. it doesnt have any additives in it and eats grease fast.

Dip a rag in your tank to saturate with some fuel and wipe her down. If that doesn't take it off, not sure what will!

OIC I was thinking all the way around the outer edge of the tire. that why i said yikes. I'm kind of wondering as well how safe NFP's Idea is. it seems like a good idea in a pinch

This happened to me the other day after I cleaned my chain and sprocket then lubed it up again. I just took a shop rag and put a couple drops of Dawn dish soap and tried to buff it out pretty much. There was still a slight spot so I rode it off on the way back to my house from my buddies house about 45 miles away. Hope this helps lol
