Default Cbrforum, convince me not to go straight pipe

i have an 02 f4i and im really concidering going straight pipe. i dont think you can beat the sound of it.

if i go out with this, im going to get a pc and have it dyno mapped.

what do you experts thinks?

straight pipes only sound good on V twins, and only then when theyve had work on em.

cops already hate me, my neighbors love me, and thats why id be getting it dyno mapped so it wouldnt hurt my performance

i more so wanted performance reasons not to get it.

so i guess my question is, after getting a pc and having it dyno mapped, will i have any problems?

to you maybe, a I4 sound like shyt with a straight pipe to me n most I now.

The performance lost mentioned tho you cant tune out tho, a free flowing exhaust kills bottom end plain and simple. The only way to get it back it to redo internals like the cams, timing, and head work. Or keep an exhaust with back pressure on it LIKE it was designed.

Yes, a PC n tune wont restore the bottom end thats lost.

werent the 02 f4i's not detuned? so why would it sound like ****?

and how much would i be losing in performance on the bottom end?
