Default CBR1000 Leaking after winter (NEW)

Hi folks,

Thought it would be worth starting a new thread as I've seemingly encountered a new issue.

So, for background, my bike was leaking fuel on the first start up after winter. I took her apart from the good advice of people on the forum, and found that there was a hose disconnected under the pipe, and it smelled like fuel, so I'm thinking, jack pot!! Whilst I didn't take a picture of where I connected it to, it looks like around this area of the underside of the tank:

So connected that, and before I put everything back together I noticed that, that exact pipe connects to two things, a drain pipe underneath the bike, and another pipe which was laying below the carbs, and looks, a little bit worse for wear. First pic of the pipe that looks like it should be connected somewhere (but I dont know where) and second picture which shows where about it sits in the bike, 3 connections. One to the tank, one to the drain on the floor, one unknown..

Does anyone know what this pipe is supposed to be connected to?

Any one have any ideas folks?

the one in your hand has a little funnel on the top usually and it sits by the carb cable connector - it collects the fuel dripping out of the center pipe on your tank (with nothing connected to it), That's the overflow from the top of the gas tank around the fill hole. The small pipe connected to the tank is the vent pipe - make sure it doesn't get kinked.

part 5 on this diagram -

Hi mate, thank you for replying that's really helpful thank you. I'm going to buy the part to sort it, just one last question, does it actually connect to the little overflow pipe or just sit there?

Thank you,

Lucas

It just clips onto the carbs and sits below the tank. No connection.
