Default CBR F3 Suspension clearance problems

I have a '95 CBR 600 F3 and it had an extended swingarm when I bought it and was lowered almost to the ground for drag racing, so I bought a stock swingarm and when I put it on there I adjusted the "dogbone" link (it's an adjustable one) to as high as the bike will sit but it still doesn't seem right; I can't even take my girlfriend for a ride (and no she's not fat ). Anyhow, I was wondering if maybe these models just sit low from factory, or if maybe I need to get a stock dogbone. I mean I don't weigh but 140lbs and going over some bumps I don't feel very comfortable; I feel like my rear tire is going to get popped from a screw that holds the storage compartment on. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

while you have the link adjusted all the way up measure how high the seat is off the ground at its highest point, if i remember right it should be 34 or 35 inches.
if its lower than that then get a stock dogbone. if its the right height something could be wrong with the shock.

I would start with adjusting your suspension before buying another dogbone. The Pre-load is your best bet for a stock suspension. I would reset your entire suspension to factory and adjust it to fit you from there. If its aftermarket make sure its sprung for your weight; then start "tuning" it for your needs.

I actually replaced the shock. It just seems really soft when i hit a bump and it sinks down more than i feel it should when i sit on it.

what was wrong with the one it had on it? or was it not the right shock?
either way get every setting on the shock back to stock and go from there.

Is that the way it's supposed to be?

it shouldnt be that low, your front has been lowered too, the forks shouldnt be sticking up like that.
with it being that low im going to assume that the adjustable link wont get it back to stock height, but to be sure try to get a measurement of it, and find the dimensions of a stock dogbone.

i would also get a shorter rear brake line

OK, now we know you've got a nice looking bike worthy of saving. Now, can you get a couple more shots of these areas a little closer for more detail ?
