Default Can You Ride w/Bent Wheel

Well, I got an ebay wheel pretty cheap that said " appears to be straight" its not. Put dial indicator on it and gave it a spin, side to side was about .020 of an inch ( half a mm ) and up and down was about .030 of an inch (.75 mm). Clymer manual says if it you have more than .080 (2mm) to change wheel bearings. But its the wheel not the bearings. Clymer manual doesnt say nothing about the wheel its self. I was just wondering what you guys think. Would it be ok for track days?

Less than a mm in either axis , I doubt many brand new factory wheels are much better than that not mention how much the rubber alone is likely to be 'out'.

Wouldn't bother me.

something that small shouldn't have any effect at all on the tire. I wouldn't sweat it either.

I'm no expert on this but less than 1mm is prolly something you can balance out. I'd try some dynabeads instead of the tradional method tho.
