Question Brakes on 96 600 F3

I searched but did not find the question or answer so here goes. I have replaced the rear brake pads and in the process had to remove the caliper because of other things I was doing at the same time. When I reinstalled the caliper (rear rotor, wheel, etc.) I noticed the caliper assembly sort of floats (moves) a little when u apply brakes. Is this "normal"? I have not left any bolts loose or out and do not see any way to stop it from moving.

Yep, its normal, it's actually referred to as a "Floating Caliper".

What Pace said. This was actually an upgraded setup from the fixed ones of the F2 generation.
