Brake Pads- Matching Set?
I looked at my brakes and noted that my right pads are worn much more than the left. For the purposes of passing tech in tomorrow's trackday, I'm changing both, but for reference is it necessary to always change both left and right at the same time?
I suspect that I will always have more wear on one set or the other.
FYI-I have Galfer braided lines (individual at m/c) and I'm changing out the Honda pads for EBC HH. I previously thought I had a problem with the right caliper not biting as hard, but I can see that it's not true.

Either the EBC pads are supersweet or those pads were really done (which they were). The pad material is very soft too. Feels great, virtually no warmup time.
I would run the Ferodo over EBC. The EBC's just have too much intial bite for my liking, they bite really hard right away but give up some overall braking power once you get past that intial hit. For a "track only" Pad, I've run pretty much everything out there and the SBS dual carbon race pads are hands down the best pad I've ever used. For a street / Trackday pad, I like the Carbone lorrine SBK-3 pads and the Ferodo CP911 pads.
if your brakes ever fail on the track remember toms 3 rules:
downshift
aim for sand
hit something cheap
please just avoid "stopping" by using other racers[sm=badidea.gif]....thanks! heheh
