Brake light switch
hey giys I have a 94 CBR 900 RR
The handbrake doesnt make the brake like come on the foot brake does but you have to push it really really hard it doesnt lite up for easy braking
Does anyone know if theres an adjustment
and anyone have an idea about the handbrake switch?

RE: Brake light switch
Of course model specific information is different but generally the switch is held on by one or two phillips head screws and mounts under the lever. Just follow the clicking sound as you apply and let off the brake. Just remove the screws and unplug wires going to it.
To absolutely rule out anything else, jumper the leads going to the switch (connect them using a wire) and turn on ignition switch. Brake light should be on. If you have the leads jumpered and the brake light does not come on then you have a problem somewhere else.
To test the switch, attach an ohm meter to it. As you push the button in and out the reading should go from infinite (error) to a number (not sure what that is for your switch).
Good luck
