brake light not working...help
I was taking my rear end apart last night to put on a eliminator kit, and after I was done, the brake light is no longer working. Anyone have any idea what's going on? This is on a 2002 f4i. I didn't even touch the brake light wiring. Does the brake not work when the bike is on a rear stand? The only wire I disconnected was for the license plate light. Thanks for the help in advance.

RE: brake light not working...help
Check your brake light switch. I believe that they are adjustable, you may have bumped it enough to where it is not making a complete circuit. You can adjust it by loosening the backup nut and screwing the switch further toward or away from the brace it is mounted on. Hope this helps.

the brake light switch(s) are located on the front brake lever ( underneath) and the rear brake light switch is behind the heelguards on the right side rider footpeg ( looks like a tampon with a rod sticking out the top)
