What bike is it?

There are only a few different type of screws on the carbs.
- Mixture screws (1 for each carb)
- Sync screws (3)
- Idle adjust **** (1)

Not sure what screw you are talking about...

Not familiar with the f3 carbs, but they are all similar. Usually the screws between the carbs are for syncing. There is also a sync screw in between carbs 2 and 3, near where the throttle cables attach.

Maybe someone with an f3 can chime in if I'm wrong.

I have a set of carbs out. Are you talking about the 3 screws you see here?

There are 3 sync screws. The one between carbs 1 and 2 is a booger to see, but it's there. That adjusts carb #1 Then there is one between 2 and 3 that adjust #2 and another between 3 and 4 for #4. You initially set #3 with the idle adjustment ****, then adjust the others to match that.

The screws on the side of the float bowls are the drains. Those need to be closed.

The pilot screws, (D-shaped screws pointing straight down) need to be adjusted to the bike itself. Then service manual says to start each one at 1.5 turns out and adjust to max the RPM's then back each one down 50 RPMs.

Most people find that more often than not a setting of 2 turns out is about right.
