I just installeda BMCRace filter on my 06 CBR 600RR and noticed that the install is not the same as a factory air filter. Has anyone else noticed that when installing the filter, the 2 screws that go on each side of filter do not mach up with the bike holes to screw in the screws? The screw at the top of the filter matched up perfect, just the 2 on each side did not. Anyone else have this problem?

 

I hope that not having the 2 screws in place on the sides of the filter will not matter much. Even the air box coverdid not want to sit back in place wright. I had to use the screws to seal it back off to push it back together. Hope someone esle can say this happen to them to let me know that everything is ok. Thanks.

 

It should fit without any modification . i have same filter and i never had any issue installing it . and i clean mine every other services , and it fits perfect everytime .
