Bike wont start 1999 CBR900RR
I'm new to bikes.
I cant get it to start. Always hard to start when cold.
Now I cnat get it started.
-Checked Plugs ( theres spark)
-Fuel good. (filled recently) snelled the fuel
-I saw only 2 vaccum lines attached to the engin.
What else do I check? Took the thing apart.

An internal combustion engine needs 3 simple things to run (fuel, air, spark) if you definitally have fuel and spark, maybe you have an airway restriction (air filter). Or you may have to much of one of those aspects, too much fuel engine may flood. When you checked for spark where the plugs fouled? Fouled plugs = weak spark. Maybe your carbs could be gummed up and need to be cleaned and adjusted. Does the engine crank over at normal speed or slower?

to be technically correct, internal combustion engines need FOUR things to run, air, fuel, spark, and compression. its not real likely that your compression just went from good to zilch overnight. fuel you've said is established, so that leaves air supply to the intake, and spark are the likely culprits. a compression test couldnt hurt to do, but I personally doubt its necessary in this case.
my advice, charge your battery overnight on a trickle charger, do the simple stuff before getting into complicated and expensive stuff.

I wouldnt rule fuel out yet. He said it is good......he just filled the tank and snelled it. Surely he meant smelled it, but pull the line to make sure it is actually FLOWING to the carbs. Check the easiest things first..........the kill switch isnt off is it?
