To answer the other questions here, the throttle does not make the bike run...it is a dead stop when the starter button is released....its not a case of the bike running rough and cutting out but rather an immediate cut out...that makes me think its electrical rather than anything else......any help or leads to follow would be most appreciated...thanks.

 

ok update on the problem....I bypassed the 'engine stop relay' which is one of the two relays that are located underneath the rear cowling at the rear of the bike..

Once bypassed the bike starts and runs.....so one problem down.
However I now have other issues which are;
- headlamps not working
- dashboard lights up with flasher warning lights both on
- headlight main beam warning light on, (even though the lights are not working at all and the light switch is in the dip position
- all four indicators are on, (running lights)
- indicators hardly flash once triggered either left or right

So it would seem I have some electrical issues to sort out yet.......any ideas anyone and anyone had to purchase a faulty engine stop relay before, if so where from and how much roughly?
