Bike idle's but wont GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 2002 f4i.The bike starts and idles fine, but when i put it in gear and release the clutch while increasing RPM'sit does not engage(does notride).Basically when its in gear it acts like it is in neutral, and rolls when turned off, even in gear. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

sounds like a clutch problem lol anyways does your neutral light go off when you put it into gear ?
The neutral light does not go off i can freely switch through all the gears yet it doesnt wanna engage. I was also informed that the plate could have been stripped? Does that sound like it could have happened?

I would hav e to say you have a tranny issue if the light is not going off I am guessing it is not going in to gear. cna you here it click in ? But if you can still roll the bike it is not in gear, or on the bad side you could have striped the drive gear on the clutch backet? If you are good wrenching I would pull the clutch basket and check it out.

yea bro it seems that when you were burning out you probably broken something in the tranny (shift fork, etc) maybe even the gears them selves. i blew the tranny on a WRX one time and 2nd gear was non existent it would go where it was suposed to be but there was just nothing there (it would rev freely) so hopefully yours is a lesser problem but sounds like you'll need to do a tear down soon and get your hands dirty
