Default Bike Cleaning

Looking at buying some cleaning products for my bike. I have had a look around the net and there is plenty out there. So i was wondering if there was any recommendations.

I use Honda Spray for quick cleaning, it's like magic cleaner in a can. If I'm actually doing a real cleaning I just use dish soap and water, it's safe on the duckies right?
Wax I use Mothers brand.

Upload pics when you get it clean!!

Soap and water, a little degreaser on the chain lube splatter and finish it off with Maxima SC-1 clear coat spray on the plastic. The SC-1 helps keep the dirt from sticking to it for a while and makes it shine. Don't get any on the seat though....

Dish soap will strip all of your wax away. It's good to use it once in a while to have a clean slate. Any quick spray from Meguiars or even Lucas Slick Mist will be good to use for the in between washes. When she gets really dirty, any of the higher end car products can be used . I love Meguiars stuff on my car and the bike.

You could always do this.....

+1 for Honda Spray polish.

Other products you can try are Hondabrite/S100 and I use either WD-40 or Silicone Spray on the wheels. I like Motorex Chain Cleaner with a Grunge Brush for the chain. Repsol contact cleaner for the greased up engine parts.

We used to use the old honda polish when delivering a bike at the dealership I worked at. Then they stopped selling it for a bit while they changed it so we used plexus instead and never went back. I've never washed my bike since it was brand new, just plexus, and it looks amazing still.
