Best Frame sliders
I have Woodcraft sliders and they are very nice. They are not the hollow "tube" style like vortex or others, meaning they have a solid puck which translates to alot more material to ground down before your vitals hit the pavement. They come in colored aluminum but I went with the ugly plastic ones because they do the intended job the best.
Check out the sliders from yoyodyne, http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInf...oductid=E80130. They're a two piece unit, aluminum base with a replaceable Delrin cover. I've crash tested mine, and they work great. Only grinded down the cover and no damage to the base.
Heres a pic of the woodcraft sliders I have. They have a solid puck (not hollow like vortex) that you can replace in the event of a drop without replacing the whole slider. The puck retention bolt is near the base, outside of the puck so you don`t have to go through the inside of a damaged hollow puck after plastic, asphalt, dirt, and god knows what else gets packed into it after a crash.

And one more thing, I don't have to pull the plastics off to cahnge the pucks if I ever have to.

Uncaged Cycle Products is another company offering a solid puck frame slider. From their website, it's a pretty solid design. Looks like they have sliders for the 929/954RR models.
