Default Battery tender

New to the forum, but I once owned 2 CBR 600's. My brother owns a 2006 CBR 600 and his battery died recently. I suggested he buy a battery tender. Our question is can a battery tender pigtail be permanently attached with easy access to the pigtail?

Thanks...

Yes, absolutely. That's a very common 'mod' for people. You can get a 2-pole connector (like this) and wire it to the battery (make sure you put a fuse on the +'ve side!!!!) The other connector can be wired to your tender. Easy-peasy.

The tender I use on my VRod has regular battery clips and the pigtail ends with a dipole connector, but I don't use it that way because the battery is easy to get to. Brother thinks his battery is too deep in the guts. Think a pigtail like mine will stay attached at the battery thru the SpringSummerFall?

I wouldn't recommend regular battery clips as a permanent attachment if someone plans on riding with them attached. You can purchase a pigtail with ring terminals for the Battery Tender separately on Amazon and other places.

Also, tell your brother that he can get a Battery Tender Jr, complete with the above pigtail, for less than $20 with a bit of searching around.
