back angle senser on F3?
95 f3..rebuild.... bike ran fine..after left switch totally fell apart and front fairing removed bike wouldnt start...turning over strong...way more fuel coming through fuel filter than fuel pump...bike has spark and clean air filter..read about back sensor on other bikes...just wondering thx..would rather ride it back into shed than push it ....should the petcock be turned off when not riding...never did on cruiser..but this is different animal

If you can hear the fuel pump prime, then your BAS is fine. How the hell does a switch just fall apart. Did you smash it with a hammer? j/k. It might have arced out and blew a fuse. Is the front fairing back on the bike? On my F4i the BAS is mounted to the headlight, and it must be plugged in, or jumped out. There's a write up on how to do that somewhere on here.

switch
lol no hammer involved.bike was flipped and bounced down the street bending tail section, swingarm, both rims broke,at one point hitting left clipon damageing switch and after pushing high low beam a couple times it just sort of popped off...i am just trying to get info befor putting new entire clipon/switch and fairing back on..i am hoping i just fouled the plugs..but if that isnt the case i wanted another direction to go..i sold my cruiser spring 08 and been tooling around on a little honda vt600..so i am like chomping at the bit here lol..thx for the reply

WOW! Obviousley you're ok, since you're trying to fix the bike and not an arm or leg or head for that matter. Anywhos try jumping out the BAS by pluging a wire into two of the three connectors, not sure which two but there is a write up on it, its quicker and easier than changing plugs (cheaper too). Check the fuses too. Good luck bro, and try to keep her on her wheels (at least one of em)
