Not that I have one.

But I'd love to be able to borrow an ECU too for a 1000rr.

I wish there was somewhere we could "borrow" parts from and return them - like a library - for certain parts. That'd be cool.

Yea no doubt!

ITs just pissing me off because its like how can there not be a sure fire way to say if a component or a whole ECM is bad or not ya know? Its pretty ridiculous to me that there isnt a method of testing it. Its always, oh ya have to get another ECM to test, I read it all the time with ECM problems. How can it not be oh well its bad so you need a new one without having to get another one???

IF I took it to a shop would they be able to tell me if it was? IM just blown away at my problem.

How can a damn bike that wasnt so much as turned on in the time it sat, suddenly develop this problem? The bitch ran before she got stored. FFS!@!!

Maybe a rodent chewed through an important wire...

The guys at the dealerships have spare ECMs. That's how they test them!

Yea possibly.

Hmm, could I possibly take mine into one and they test it? Probably charge me for it though huh? Any idea what that costs? Vs. me trying to find one.....

Well, what you could do is buy one off of ebay - then turn around and sell it. It'd probably cost you = percentage that ebay takes from you selling it + shipping. ECU's fit in a flat rate box, so that's $6 and I think ebay charges 10%.

It'd definitely be cheaper than a shop - for sure.
