What is "running dumps"?

Sounds like something I had happen at work once! Fortunately, I made it to the bathroom before any permanent damage was done!

Probably not doing any physical damage. So other than the occasional stop by the police for illegal exhaust and really making the neighbors hate you, no harm no foul.

Oh, gotcha! The only concern I'd have is the lack of back pressure unless you plan on getting it tuned.

There were a few guys on the Subie forum back in the day who had "dump" cutouts welded into their exhaust and they could open and close it electronically...

Thank you guys... And I live in Oklahoma m we don't have any of the bs emission laws or anything so they can't and won't bother me.. 1 of the good things about my state is the lax laws when it comes to this stuff.. I appreciate the input it helps

The muffler is not really for emission related things so much as it is for sound abatement. But since you brought it up, Oklahoma doesn't need any emission laws, the federal laws put forth under the Clean Air Act in 1970 takes care of that. As for enforcement of federal laws, I think Timothy McVeigh might have had an opinion on that.
