Default Alternator spec, 04 1000RR

I just moved up (and dropped 130 lb) to an 04 CBR1000RR from the Kaw ZX11 I bought new in 1990 and rode until selling it in July 2006. So I'm new to Honda, and not yet familiar with the innards of the CBR as I was with the ZX11, which I was able to understand and maintain in my garage,where I did my ownvalve adjustments. It is my intention to reach this point with the 1000RR, but I'm an old fart (over 60) and it will take some time to learn these new tricks. The current issue (no pun intended) is to determine the alternator output of a 2004 CBR1000RR in advance of investing in a Gerbing heated liner, whichreviewers assertrequires a minoutput of 300 watts to work competently and not cause battery discharge at idle. The owners manual makes reference to a "generator" whose spec is 0.344kW/5,000 rpm. Is there some mathematical way to determine output at idle, or an onlie resource that might offer me this information at a glance? I know which side of a shim to expose to a cam lobe, but remain intimidated by most electrical stuff and rely on expert advice to talk me through the occasional crisis.The Gerbing liner or Powerlet clone of the Gerbing promise a solution to my disdain for freezing my butt off on spring and fall rides in the Shenandoahs, but they draw about80 Watts of power, which combined with the Honda HID head, tail/brake lightsthat require another90 watts or so. Reviewers indicate that battery discharge and poor liner performance at idle and lowRPM are common on bikes with less than 300 Watts of rated alternator output. Anyone out there with some pity and help for a newcomer? (Now, if I can just muster the courage to drag an arthritic knee through the twisties ...) Thanks for taking care of us elders.

well not really a mathmaticall equation but kilo meaning thousands, move the decimal over three places and you have watts... 344w/5,000 rpm...
someone please corect me if I'm wrong.

100% correct. Idle Hands, you get an A.

if you're trying to determine amperage, that's simple too.

A=W/V

I give myself an A+
