I always lock it on the side and cover the bike with a light weight cover.
Never had any problems.
Ya'know, out of sight , out of mind.

 

I carry mine with me... I have to park in a .... let's say wrong side of the tracks area for my school parking lot. I also park in an un-used bicycle rack and chain my bike up.

 

when i was in college i would ride to class w/o a helmet so i wouldn't have to bother with it. i know i know.. stupid. i never ride w/o a helmet now though!

 

i take it with me, my school is ghetto, i even lock up my bike to another such as my classmates bike.

 

lock it to the bike, never had any problems. I know there are some thieves out there but i dont see them being stupid enough to cut a strap and have a useless helmet.

 

well....being that i go to school in newark, nj. I think i HAVE to take everything that i can with me. Otherwise, its just plain stupid of me and definately will be gone. I don't park anywhere else but in a lot where its always full of people walking around. Plus its the closest one to any of my classes. I can't ride without my visor down for ANYTHING. If my helmet was taken from me, i think i'd call someone up to take me home cause otherwise i'd be putting along the parkway at around 30 mph. I can't see after that!!!

I saw a guy the other day park in a lot and just set his on top of his seat while he went into a store!!! Some people are just asking to get ripped off!!!

 

I always take mine with me. Believe me if you don't have a girlfriend and you want one.... that will work. I have a gf so but let me tell you, they are like "what kind of bike do you have... cool... awesome blah blah blah" Even the hot teacher will hit on you and give you an "A".
