98 cbr f3 wont start just backfires
I just bought a 98 cbr 600 f3 and it started st the dealership and started when i got home. I parked it for 2 days and now i try to start it and it backfires. Is it still too cold to start at around 40-50 degrees outside? It came close to starting if i try for a long time to start it at around 50 degrees. Please help a frustrated man
Welcome to the forum! Well, let's see...You got it at a dealership...did you get any kind of warranty with it? You still have rights even if you didn't. If not, it's just been a few days, call them and see what they can do for 'ya...if anything...
Good Luck!

flooded. Charge the battery. open the throttle then crank. keep the throttle open when cranking. repeat once or twice. if no start then check the plugs.
definitely the plugs...the same exact thing happened to me when i bought my f3...started fine when i bought it, took it home, next day it just backfired and didnt start, i changed the plugs based on some recommendations i got from the good people on this forum, and she started right up
FNQuickF2 yes i got it from a dealership with no warranty. But I changed the plugs and put in 93 octane after i drained out the 89 octane and sure enough she fired right up . Now I just need a new set of plastics cuz they are all cracked or broken on the inside where its hard to see. And everything was sooooo loose all over the bike so i tightend everything. But i'm kinda glad it happenedor i wouldnt have known about the plastic being loose and cracked and may have gone down the road and lost pieces lol. So I guess everything happens for a reason. Thank you all for your much needed advise. Now you know where i can get the plastics with my color scheme?
